I am Christine, “T” for short. My sister started calling me “T” when I was five because she couldn’t pronounce Christine. I have been “T” to my family ever since. Welcome to my site.
My Husband and I decided to start eating and feeding our kids no more crap. We were tired of attitude problems that we were having with our preteens (three of them) and the ADHD behavior from our six year old. I was (and still am) trying to lose weight. I have lost 27 pounds as of this post, I have about 10 to 15 pounds more to go. My Husband is a Type 1 Diabetic (no, it isn’t easy), and it turns out that this is the best way for a diabetic to eat, even if the doctors disagree.
Our diet includes no grains, beans, potatoes, sugar, flour, and mostly no milk. We eat tons of veggies, fruits, meat, and nuts. Let me tell you, it has not been easy. At first, it was really boring. I mean, what do you eat besides the same eggs every morning? Or the same meat and cheese for lunch? This is when I decided to start researching recipes and I am so glad that I did. I have found tons of really neat recipes. Most I have not tried, yet.
This is why I have decided to start this site. I wanted a place for people looking for alternative recipes to be able to find them all in one place. I am also adding the recipes that I make up and that are loved by my family and friends. I hope that everyone that comes here gets what they need out of it. I hope you enjoy!
